The north side is definitely the most active in terms of crime, it has the poorest zip code in WI. The Milwaukee County Bus system is usually used for people who can't afford cars. I do use it for Summerfest and when I went to college at UWM
Posted: May 15, 2025Milwaukee, like any big city in the US, has areas that feel much safer than others. Do your research and trust your gut if places feel sketchy. Keeping that in mind, I generally feel safe here. The city is pretty easy to navigate and there are a lot of lovely areas to explore.
Posted: January 20, 2025There is crime in certain areas, but what big city doesn’t have crime. I don’t feel unsafe at night in my home, walking to my car, or being out with friends. Remember your surroundings and you’ll be fine!
