I think as with many cities you just want to exercise caution after dark in some parts of town. Some parts are safer than others. Some I feel safe walking alone at night. Some I absolutely do not. In general though it's a pretty safe town. As a tourist you should not be targeted. But message me and I can list neighborhoods that are safer after dark for a lady alone.
Posted: June 29, 2024Avoid the west end and downtown at all costs! Every area seems dangerous now, and you should never leave anything in your cars! Be careful with date rape drugs at bars and avoid going out alone even in the daytime.

Louisville Kentucky has a very welcoming atmosphere and is made up of people who are proud of their city. I have always found it to be a safe place where strangers are always willing to talk or give assistance.
