Healdsburg is a very small tourist town in the heart of Sonoma county (also a major wine district). The local community is very small and respectful. Locals don’t love tourists because much of the time it is the tourists who bring trouble to our little town. The area is very safe for solo or family travel
Posted: April 10, 2025Healdsburg is a small town in wine country. By 10pm all lights are off and there’s no one walking around. As kids we used to sneak out and run around at night and never experienced anything unsafe or heard of anyone experiencing anything unsafe. After school we would just walk downtown and buy milkshakes and fries without a care.
