This is a small community of a lot of sweet people. There is maybe some poverty, theft, and drug abusers in some areas. But it's rare and people look out for eachother. There isn't much public transit to speak of which is why I rated that a little lower. Overall though this is a really safe and comfortable place to exist as a woman
Posted: May 14, 2024Overall, Grass Valley is a safe town. I walk alone at night to the downtown area, but I am still very aware of my surroundings. There can be a few sketchy people at night, so I avoid going down dark streets, but I feel comfortable in the well lit downtown. Car break-ins do happen, so make sure to lock it, but other than that, crime is very low.
