Very safe! There is very little homeless people around. Clean city with very safe environment & mostly nice people. I don’t usually go walk alone at night, but I wouldn’t do that in most places anyways. However, you would be safe if you do.
Posted: March 17, 2025Fort Worth has typical industrial and less safe neighborhoods along with busy nightlife and family areas. Overall safe in tourist areas. Hide valuables in parked cars, use hotel safe, be situationally aware.
Posted: January 26, 2025Fort Worth is generally very safe, some parts of the city may be more prone to crime than others, but there are many suburbs and such that most people don’t care for crime. Downtown Dallas is more prone to crime, especially if you are a woman you may want to avoid going at night. But any night shopping and such around Plano or Grapevine, you will be safe.

It truly depends where in Fort Worth you visit. Most of it is pretty safe! If you’re looking for a true Texas culture experience check out the Stockyards! There are tons of day and nighttime activities. The Kimbell Art Museum is also free!

It’s very, very safe! I’ve never had an incident, nor do I know of someone who has been unsafe either. Like anywhere, it is possible, so use care to not be in dark places late at night. Using general common sense, you should be totally fine.

It is safe, but still general threats that apply to being a female in public. As long as you’re alert and aware of your surroundings, you’ll be ok. I generally don’t go out alone at night, but have not had issues when I have that

Hi! I’m a doctoral candidate in a human services program, love dogs, and all things culture, linguistics, and history! I’m a native to Fort Worth, and don’t need GPS to get around for the most part. Welcome!

Hi! I will be traveling to Italy and Switzerland in March and would love to meet some new friends! This will be my first international solo trip so any advice would be much appreciated!! I am from Texas and graduated UT Austin in 2020. I love creating and appreciating art! I also play tennis, pickleball and enjoy swimming. I am not a picky eater by any means and hope to discover new restaurants with new friends during my travels!
