How safe is Fort Collins?

Fort Collins is a college town that feels very much that way and does not have much crime subsequently. You’ll only see an ambulance every now and then, and I’ve never seen police actively doing much.

Fort Collins is generally safe overall. Weekends in Old Town can get rowdy. There have been shooting and stabbings mainly among the transient community. Theft, especially bike theft, is higher than average. Vehicle and catalytic converter theft is on the rise. Women should exercise some caution if walking alone in the Old Town area late at night on weekends. Verbal harassment is not uncommon.

Nice city! Cost of living is really high so crime and homelessness is becoming a bigger problem. Break ins are unlikely but still possible, package stealing and following possible. College town so it’s typically better when school is in!

About Me

Hello! I am a recent college graduate taking some time off to explore Europe this Summer with my girlfriend Mattie! I was born in the US but my family is all from the UK so I’ve had a good chance to explore some regions but nowhere near as many as I would like to… please reach out if you have any recommendations for Spain or France, or if you would be interested in hosting us! We would love to get to meet you!

About Me

Hi! I’m Marceline, I’m an explorer at heart and love meeting new people. I study biochemistry at the moment, but will be moving to Oregon soon enough to get my firefighting certifications. I’m a bartender at a kava bar here, and in the Air Force in Colorado Springs. Traveling by car and foot is my main mode of transportation at this point in time! I love roadtrips, let’s go on one.
