Anchorage is a safe town in general with a couple of areas to avoid, but they are not tourist areas, so you will have to go out of your way to find them. Homeless congregate downtown near the bus station and in town Square. However, other than them asking for spare money, they are largely harmless. I

Hi I’ve lived in Alaska my whole life until last year I moved into my rv with my dog and started traveling the US and Canada full time. I fly back to Anchorage to work one week ever 6 weeks.
