Because it's a small town, there's barely any crime here! I'm usually out walking at 12 am from a pub and there's not a single drunk man ever! I find it very safe tbh! Everything here shuts down by 10 that's the only downside x

Winchester is a very safe, cute historical city. Like any city, I would always advise solo female travellers to trust their gut and follow the overall common sense guidelines, but Winchester is known to be a safe city, with lots of lovely scenic walks, pubs & coffee spots
Posted: June 12, 2024Winchester is one of the safest cities in the UK. It has mostly been reporting as a zero crime rate area. If you like historical architecture and scenic nature with lots of cultural beauty, then Winchester is the place!
