Very safe city. Only a few certain areas to avoid late at night that don’t feel so safe. Only issues is nightlife and spiking is quite prominent. I know many friends that have experienced this. But at day time the city feels very safe
Posted: March 21, 2025I have live here going on 9 year now and it is very safe compared to a lot of places. I never have to worry about going out late. Or being harassed. I’m also very night person. I would go on the weekend and it’s always very safe. There is always police in visual site. And walking back home has always been really good.
Posted: January 17, 2025It feels like a very safe city, more than most others I’ve been too. As a student and a young woman, I feel I can walk around town (both during the day and night) and not be overly concerned for my safety.

Super safe, friendly and historic city with 2 shopping malls, a castle, cathedral and plenty to do and see. Public transport is fairly regular and gets you to and from the major places in the city. Never had a problem

Norwich is known for being a safe city. I think you need your whits about you when in any city in the UK, but crime rates are relatively low here and I tend to feel safe walking on my own (even in the dark).
Posted: May 29, 2024It is very safe however you always have to be aware of your surroundings and what part of Norwich you are in. Some are aot safer than others I would always say stay on the main routes. The city has a good night life but just be careful.

Hi I’m 18 years old from the uk. I am currently in the Caribbean and going to be travelling South America over the next few months. I am travelling with a friend to begin with but will be solo for around a month (15 may-10 June) and am planning to be in chile for this time. I am up for meeting people or travelling with others. I have no set plans yet so am up for anything during this month.
