It is a very safe city for single women and girls. Excellent place for nightlife with the best offers for women especially. Will recommend everyone to visit at least o ce while they're in UK. Also will be happy to host!
Posted: January 17, 2025Geordies are a lovely bunch and extremely helpful. I've never felt in danger when out in town, but there are some areas / neighbourhoods that can be a bit shady. In town, I'd say be careful of drunk beggars - they likely won't do much, but they can be very irritating sometimes.
Posted: December 30, 2024Very safe..easy to walk around after dark..still need to be street wise....just like anywhere else in world. People are nice and happy to help. Keep vigilant with drunk people and u will be fine.....
Posted: November 14, 2024It’s a city, containing a lot of students so drink is always involved, thus always abit of petty crime about. Only known issues with public transport were with schoolchildren beating people up for a while, while I lived there, but they did employ extra police on the carriages themselves in that area.
Posted: June 19, 2024Newcastle is a very friendly and safe city to live in. It's very rare that I would feel nervous walking alone at night. Generally it's a great place to live and visit and people will look out for you.
Posted: March 10, 2024The city is quite safe to walk alone during the day and at night! I have never had issues for all the years I have lived there and I have walked alone at night multiple times. As always tho be on the lookout.
