Brighton and Hove is pretty safe. You get occasional comments but anything more than that is pretty rare in most areas.

I have had very few experiences whilst living in Brighton and Hove where I have felt unsafe. Generally public transport always feels very safe and I have been completely fine on many nights out with friends.

I have lived here for 2 years and have not had any issues or incidents. No matter the place, I always have a worry in the back of my head, but all things considered Brighton is safe and full of lovely queer liberals who are friendly and accepting 🤍
Posted: May 28, 2024It's generally safe but I have had a bucket load of weird experiences including from police officers. I have been touched up in the pool area of my gym, i also witnessed a guy holding a weapon to a young girl in a park after dark. But have never been stalked or followed.

Pretty safe... its a student town and very tolerant. There's lots of awareness about safety for women and girls, and people are quite friendly here. There are good public transport routes that run til late too.
