How safe is Linkoping?
In Linköping there are a few areas with high criminality, however that is mostly between gangmembers and will not affect any tourists in the center of the city. Areas to avoid living or being in are Skäggetorp and some parts of Ryd and Berga. Otherwise your stay should be safe!
Posted: January 30, 2025I would say that Linköping is quite a safe place. Generally people are nice although Swedes are not always so open at first :) I would not be scared going here as a female solo traveller. There are some areas to avoid but if you stay central it's normally not a problem :)
Posted: June 12, 2024Common sense is a very good safetyprecaution anywhere. Also in Linköping. Dont go to abandoned places, especially at dark. If possible take a taxi home if you are tipsy or staying out late. Have your phone charged and with you🙏
