Most crimes against women in Stockholm are sadly committed by men who already know the woman in question, therefore i’d say that traveling in public transport and walking at night is fairly safe compared to other countries

I would say Stockholm is one of the safest cities in the world for women, POC and LGBTQ+ people. Of course one is always gonna be watchfull at night just in case but I have never been genuinely worried something was going to happen to me.

Stockholm and Sweden in general is going through a tuff time as there have been some problems with criminal gangs etc. But me and my friends are not worried for our safety. It’s overall a safe city and I’m never worried and I think you shouldn’t be either.
Posted: February 7, 2025Safe. It is always just the knowledge that being a woman and knowing how some might treat me because of that. I am still able to walk alone at night (as long as it is short and I’m on alert) and take public transportation, but the fear is still there, it always will be no matter if I’m in a safe area or a dangerous one.
Posted: February 2, 2025Sweden is a very safe country and not very populated, with good infrastructure that includes subways, trains, and buses operating at all times of the day and week. This always makes you feel safe, no matter what time of day it is.
Posted: January 31, 2025One of the safest cities I've ever been to. Being a woman is scary in everywhere but the city itself didn't add anything to my concerns. Even in public pools or beaches I felt as if people simply didn't care about each other's existence

Stockholm is among the safest European cities, there's very little street harassment here and it feels safe to take public transportation at night. Of course, some areas can feel a bit unsafe, as in any city, but overall it's a safe place for women.
Posted: January 26, 2025Sweden is generally a very safe country so I would honestly not worry. Stockholm do have its bad sides as all other countries but it is usually outside of the center. But people here are very sweet🤍
Posted: January 25, 2025Depends on area, and there’s always a underlaying fright walking alone as a woman, but overall Stockholm’s a safe place. It’s really unusual for me to feel scared and threatened here! People are overall quite nice
Posted: January 15, 2025I believe Stockholm is a moderately safe city. Of course, wherever there are a lot of people, there will be risks, but I would definitely recommend you visit this place as it's not that unsafe. The thing I'm personally most scared of is to end up in between a shooting between other people, and that it accidentally shoots me, but I don't think anyone would target you personally.

I was shocked that stockholm was actually quite cheap. Only museums and public transport were very expensive. But loved the subway stations, loved the kardemumma buns, a little strange to walk everywhere on red light 😂 Overall fun to see, but a bit boring to come back for me

Stockholm is full of nature. If you have a tent with you, I definitely recommend staying in a nature reserve. There are many places with beautiful sunsets. You should definitely get "Too Good To Go". You can get a lot of food there for a reasonable price. The best surprise bags are available at the espresso house and Lindquist's Pastry in Stockholm.
