Is Puebla Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Puebla has reasonable safety conditions for solo female travelers. However, as always caution is advised. It's safer around the historic city center with heavy tourist activity. Always be alert since pickpocketing and muggings can occur. Avoid isolated areas, especially at night. It's recommendable to use only official taxis or ride apps for transportation. Overall, with a bit of carefulness, the visit could be a pleasant experience.

Puebla overall is a safe city. Just try to be in crowded areas, if you get lost people will help you and public transport is okay but pickpocketing is a thing so be mindful. Don’t put yourself in situations you wouldn’t back home and as long as possible be with someone or share your location with someone you trust.

If you are in the area of Ángelópolis, even at night it is a little safe, but always be aware of your surroundings. Walk on the streets with lots of light and people walking around. Sonata is pretty safe to walk at night

I have walked during the daylight only. It was ok feel like I’m in a countryside city. People are kind and simple. I’ll come back with more information tomorrow as I will walk around the city centre and get to know the city better.
