Towards the Suburbs it is totally safe and people are actually quite friendly. If asked any questions they’ll answer how they can best and don’t judge foreigners for not knowing their way around. For closer to the city i would pick and chose better who I talk to but overall very safe
Posted: July 19, 2025Orléans is a city very close to Ottawa. It is very safe to walk the city even at night. It is very easy to access the city of Ottawa by bus or by Uber. This is a bilingual community. You might hear quite a lot of French.
