Is Halifax safe for women?

Definitely safe for solo women to explore and travel. Frequently explore the area solo. Very welcoming atmosphere. People are nice and always willing to help. Few areas to avoid but province as a whole is very safe

Halifax is a safe city! As with any city, I wouldn’t walk around alone at night. The people are friendly and welcoming. I can’t speak on public transportation, but it is available across most of the city.

It’s so much safe and trustable and at the same time, enjoyable. You don’t need to be worried about walking alone after midnight or parking your bicycle out of the mall. Also it has so much natural beauties that you never get board

Solo travel

Halifax feels overall very safe, very nice people. But if you don’t have a car, you can see everything in a weekend. It’s a small city. Best if you can go travel around Nova Scotia. Also best to come here during summer.

Family travel

I took a tall ship cruise around Halifax bay with my family, it was extremely enjoyable and I highly recommend it. Afterwards we went for a very nice meal at Baton rouge restaurant, a bit expensive but Canada is quite expensive.
