A very quiet, mostly suburban city with a high number of retirees and young families, mostly middle class. Right next to a fairly affluent city, Oakville. The downtown is very small and I would feel safe walking there alone, even after dark. No problems with public transit, either; there are buses and a GO station on a major line.

Hi! I'm brand new to solo travelling; I've been to a few places with my spouse but am looking to broaden my horizons and strike out on own or with new friends. I love history and visiting old places, dark or macabre things like catacombs, old cathedrals, and curiosity shops, walking the streets and taking in the sights and architecture, trying new foods, and I'm a sucker for a novelty bar/cocktail. My favourite travel destination so far has to be Prague, Czechia.
