I made a quick stop for one night in Pisa while I was on my way to Genova and I loved it. The city is not so big so I easily managed to see most of it in one day. There’s a lot of tourists and people in the street so is pretty safe, but obviously I was always keeping an eye around me. The ticket to visit all the monuments and museums costs €27 and you can use it the hole day, it’s a nice activity for women who travels solo. I stayed in Safe Stay Hostel, staff is super nice and kind, and the place was clean and offer everything you could need. Truly recommend to do a quick stop in Pisa✨
Posted: June 22, 2024I felt safe. Pisa is overall one of the most safe towns I visited alone. Local food is great and it is not very expensive. People are polite and helpful. Streets are clean. The airport is very close to the city centre.

Pisa is a historic town, I didn't experience any other activities apart from looking at the Pisa tower and eating at nearby restaurants. I also visited other cities like Venice during the same trip which offered much more like glass making workshops, gandola rides etc. Also, I got mugged there as someone stole my wallet from by bagpack eventhough it was on my back all the time, till this day I fail to understand how they did it!
