Is Prague Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Hi there! Writing this on the way back from my solo trip. First, I felt really safe, everyone was so lovely and chatty. Great experience for extroverts, as an introvert I surprisingly enjoyed it a lot. Random dancing, drinks, everyone laughing and having good fun made it feel like a movie. I stayed at SPIRIT capsule hotel near Ańdel. In my opinion location was great. Wasn’t too far from everything. I saw a lot of old and new town, national museum and the ZOO. Also went to Moonclub which I recommend!

Solo travel

Absolutely love Prague. It has such a great vibe, like a good old book. Btw, I recommend to visit a bookstore in the city center, “Shakespeare a synové”. The architecture is beautiful, public transport is useful and easy to use. People may seam bold, like i had an experience with rude waiters, but the city is save. A lot of tourists, ofc :)

Group travel

One of my favorite trip. I was in Prague in the summer of 2023. I did feel safe, the food was great. There is a lot of food or dishes with meet so it’s a little bit harder to eat for a vegetarian (one of my friend who i travelled with). I think you can see anything you want in 3-4 days. We lived in a host for student and it was tolerable, maybe too far from the city centre. I recommend to see the little attractions too like the infinity book tower, not just the monuments.

Family travel

My trip to Prague was very safe. The transportation in the city is great and it's easy to get around - I went by both trams and metro. The tickets were easy to purchase and objectively cheap - I recommend buying the weekend option with the app. Local people are really kind, especially the ones working in museums and art galleries. Whenever they saw that I was by myself they were delighted to see someone interested in art in history and gave me so many helpful tips. Overall fantastic trip, I would totally recommend it for a first solo destination.

Solo travel

Prague, omg let's talk about Prague ! First this was my first time traveling alone, and going there by using this app ! Everything went perfectly well. This city is insanely beautiful, every corner has something to catch your eyes. The prices are so much cheaper than other European places. And, it's so easy to go from one place to another one ! I will definitly recommend anyone to come here !

Couple travel

We felt safe as a queer couple, the city is beautiful and there is a lot of places to visit! i especially recommend the museums ❤️ it’s also not that expensive considering how big of a city Prague is!

Family travel

we traveled to prague with my family for a weekend, we might just not have done enough research but as a gallery-enthusiasist, there werent a lot of big galleries, but I loved it still. The whole city seemed really slow, chill and quit, it was amazing. I had to study a bit, and for that I went to the vojanovy sady I loved that park, but the island and other parks were stunning, and overall clean as well

It was a place where I felt safe, and it was very lively at night. Restaurants were common and easy to find, but reservations were necessary. It’s not an overly expensive city; there are affordable options. It was a one-day trip, so I didn’t stay overnight. Transportation was suitable for walking, but we used public transport to get to the castle.

The accommodation was pretty cheap, got an Airbnb for 4 people in the city center for like 40 euros per person for 2 nights. Pretty sweet deal huh? Food was also really cheap, and quite similar to Franconia’s cuisine. Prague is just beautiful, every street every corner. We did a pretty touristy trip and it was nice

Solo travel

I stayed 17 days at the Drunken Monkey hostel in Prague. It's clean, the Ned's are good, and the price is fair, but the kitchen is not equipped. The location is great! Prague is beautiful and safe, I love the location food

Prague feels super safe to me — I can walk around at night and not worry about anything happening. Sometimes you might get catcalled, but honestly, that’s only happened to me like five times in the three years I’ve lived in Prague.

Pretty city for visit and holidays. Beautiful nature and good food. Would recommend walking around and enjoying the view rather then public transport. There’s some nice parks and monuments. Hope u enjoy your stay
