Prague Is very safe city, the worst that Is gonna happen Is youre gonna get cat called (which lets be honest Is gonna happen but low LOW chances that anything more). But youre not gonna get mugged or attacked:)
Posted: August 18, 2025After dark I got very scary, I didn't have any problem at day but but I was very afraid at night because of the men lurking, I hate it but it's present in every city I've traveled to. That's why I don't recommend to travel there when in winter, because then you have less light hours.

Prague is a very safe city from my and my friends experience. I had 0 bad encounters with strangers and homeless(whom there are plenty). I don’t feel scared walking back home after 12 am nor am I scared being robbed. Also neither of my friends who live here much longer then me(I live only cca 7 months) also didn’t report any violent crimes or thefts. I felt more scared in Milan and Paris then in Prague
Posted: August 16, 2025I've lived in Prague my entire life, so my review might be slightly biased. In the city centre, you will usually encounter a lot of drunks and homeless people, but if you don't pay too much attention to them, they are mostly harmless. Some sideway alleys and overall the city suburbs look really creepy, but nothing has ever happened to me (and won't, I hope)

I think it's pretty decent. There might be drunk people but it's usually easy to avoid them. I experienced people shouting at each other a few times but overall people in my country don't like interacting with each other in public transport, streets etc.

I am traveling with my best friend and we stayed at the best spot Hostel. We had some problems with changing the money from euro to Krone but after that it was super nice to walk through the city and join a free tour. The food was also very nice and there were many different options to choose from😋
