Amzing trip! fell in love with city! definitely can see myself moving to Milan😍 Affordable, beautiful and not too big. Very safe as well. We were two girls and stayed 4 nights. It was enough time to see the city but I wished we stayed longer and I will definitely come back.
Posted: April 21, 2025Experienced: August, 2024I didnt feel much safe in Milan. I met some weird people on the streets. I wasn't in danger but it still affected me I think there is less to see there than in other Italian city, they deserve more attention Overall it was okay, not so expensive. I rented good apartment for affordable price comparing to Swiss and France
Posted: April 18, 2025Experienced: December, 2024Not a great place to go out after dark. Couldn't really enjoy all of the activities, because of the safety concerns. Food was good overall, mid tier for Italy level and the prices were HIGH. In the end I'll give 3/5 and would not visit more than once
Posted: April 17, 2025Experienced: August, 2024I felt quite safe. It's a big city, but even in the evening I didn't feel in danger. I really recommend to book the sights in advance, especially the Last Supper. The pinacotecas are great. The duomo is gorgeous, the rooftop is a must.

It was really great trip, I recommend going to como it is cheap by train and around is peace and safe, also Kiko Milano shop was my favorite place where I got my souvenirs. I recommend go to big shops like dolce gabbana because they have really beautiful interior
Posted: March 8, 2025I saw the La Scala Opera which was incredible, including the museum and the set design atelier. Incredible experience. I also attended Ludovico Einaudi’a concert at Teatro dal Verme. The city was lively even in the depths of winter and I felt safe. People were walking around at all times of the night as well.

About safety, I'm not really sure. I didn't feel much safe, but we gad an Airbnb in a dangerous zone... the Airbnb was great and the underground station was really close. It was easy to travel there. But everything was expensive there.
Posted: February 23, 2025Experienced: April, 2023I felt pretty safe, but that’s because I was with my friends. We were there in large group so no one would feel uncomfortable. And it was overall pretty amazing experience. Everyone should se this beautiful city on their own.
Posted: February 19, 2025I was only afraid of pickpocketing, but that did not happen I defenetly recommend you visiting Chinatown And if you are in Milan, you should visit Como Lake As well We were staying outside of Milan, and the metro was a bit confusing for me, but not bad at all

Milan is such an incredible city (if you’re rich) 😔 but even if you’re not there are a lot of places to visit and things to do! I personally loved the Pinacoteca di Brera! Surely Duomo is a must-visit location! I would say that “the first Starbucks in Italy” is kinda overrated though it’s viral on Insta and Tiktok :/// it was expensive and crowded The only thing is the costy public transport, but need to mention that you can really get to a lot of places with metro or trams! All in all, 8/10, would like to visit Milano again!

In general Milan is a safe country, but I wouldn’t recommend to go out at night alone as it can be dangerous sometimes, also sometimes there can be issues with public transportation so u have to be aware of it
Posted: May 7, 2025Being an international student and traveling a lot in Milan at night and day, I could say that it’s pretty safe. You just have to be aware of your belongings as pickpocketing is very common. Rest enjoy your stay in Milan :)
