Solo travel experience

Sorrento was one of my favorite cities in Italy. It felt very safe and the people were very nice (even felt safe as a solo female at night). I recommend Sorrento as a great home base to visit other places on the Amalfi coast.

Solo travel experience

I was in Sorrento alone and recommend: - a day trip to Capri, you can take the ferry from Sorrento port - the path of gods which you can include in a trip along the Almalfi coast, stunning views, and not too bad of a hike. I recommend starting from Bomerano as the bus takes you most of the way and then it’s a fairly easy downhill/flat walk - Vesuvius volcano and Pompeii and Herculaneum ruins, all really accessible by train and bus, so much info online and people are really helpful

Solo travel experience

Sorrento was my home base during the Amalfi Coast trip and it was unforgettable experience. I took day trips to Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Pompei. Sorrento was so charming and safe town with great restaurants under the lemon trees, amazingly delicious and fresh seafood with excellent vine, very tasty desert and not expensive, beautiful beaches, great shopping and many so nice hotels with wonderful breakfast and good price.
