Is Pattaya good for solo travel?

Safety:

Safety:Safe

Pattaya is generally safe, particularly during the daytime. The city is known for its vibrant lifestyle and receives many tourists annually, guaranteeing a decent level of security. However, like any location with a busy nightlife, there can be instances of petty crime. It's advised to avoid remote areas late at night, maintain decorum, respect local customs and always be aware of your belongings.
Transport:

Transport:Moderate

Getting around Pattaya can be considered moderately easy. The city offers various modes of local public transportation such as songthaews, motorbike taxis and regular taxis. However, it may take a bit of time to understand the songthaew routes. Also, for safety, make sure to negotiate fares in advance especially with the taxis, as they might not always use a meter. Keep in mind that language barrier might pose as a challenge too.
Things to do:

Things to do:Interesting

Pattaya is high on the interest scale due to its diverse range of activities and attractions. You can enjoy a day of relaxing on the beautiful beaches, exploring the colorful Coral Island or visiting the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden. For those interested in culture and history, The Sanctuary of Truth offers a unique blend of art and philosophy. Furthermore, Pattaya provides a vibrant nightlife and is known for its shopping experiences with a huge variety of markets and malls. However, the city's adult-oriented entertainment zones might not be comfortable for all solo female travelers.
Food:

Food:Above average

Pattaya is indeed a culinary delight for food lovers. The city serves a vast array of flavor-rich Thai and international dishes which makes it quite diverse. Seafood is remarkably fresh and widely available. Street food culture is also vibrant, offering a chance to indulge in local treats and delicacies right off the carts. That said, some might find the Western food options not as abundant or diverse as in the bigger cities.
Budget:

Budget:Moderate

Pattaya offers a reasonable value for money considering the cost of accommodation, food, and attractions. Accommodation can be found at very affordable rates, particularly if you're willing to stay in guesthouses or budget hotels. Eating can be extremely cheap, especially if you stick to street food and local eateries. However, western food, drinks and entrance fees to certain attractions can add to your overall expense. Overall, Pattaya is moderately budget-friendly.

Is Pattaya worth visiting?

Couple travel experience

First of all I would like to say that I would not recommend visiting Pattaya as a women. Because there is a lot of sextourism you do not feel so safe in the city. Furthermore there are mostly old men as tourists. Nevertheless the food is, like to thai food in general, very good. We had a lot of pad thai and other delicious snacks from street markets. A place I really recommend visiting is the temple sanctuary truth!!
