Is Czech Republic Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

The Czech Republic generally has a low crime rate and public areas are well-patrolled by the police. The locals are friendly and most younger people speak English, which makes communication easier. It's generally safe to walk around even at night, however, it's always wise to stay alert and keep an eye on your belongings. Public transport is reliable and safe, but avoid unregulated taxis. Additionally, it's important to respect local customs and laws to avoid unnecessary complications.

I only felt unsafe in huge crowds. And then in the subway and at some stops. I fell in love with Popeyes on my very first visit. I went to a few museums and they were pretty bad. But the one near Charles Bridge was actually good.

I have visited the Czech Republic several times and found it to be a beautiful country with rich history, impressive architecture, and friendly people. However, like any country, it has both safe and less safe areas, so it is important to stay aware of your surroundings.

Prague, Couple travel

Prague has a lot of tourists but because of that it feels very alive, clean and safe. It’s pretty cheap and there are many young people from all around the world you can meet. The architecture is beautiful and the bars and clubs are very fun. If you need any recommendations just message me :)

It’s a charming city, with so much to observe calmly. The atmosphere isn’t just something you breathe in you can truly feel it. The food is delicious, and I love that it’s surrounded by so much nature. Being in its parks feels like living in another world.

Prague

I have never felt unsafe, maybe a bit at metro stops like kačerov, because of drunkies and addicts, but still ok. Often went thru the whole city around 11 pm and nothing ever happened, that would make my uncomfortable

Just don't talkwith these people, they just want attention. Please don't go to Cejl specially at night. But if you have to pass it's okay. Brno is a safe place and the police is everywhere so it feel more safe. Take care girls

Prague

I think Prague is a relatively safe city. Of course, like any capital city, it has some less pleasant areas (Hlavní nádraží, Karlovo náměstí, Anděl), especially at night, but I don’t consider it dangerous. Most parts of Prague feel safe, and serious crime is not something people usually worry about.

Pilsen

Pilsen is amazing city overall very safe. People are friendly but at night in some places it can get a bit crazy. Avoid walking in parks at night alone and avoid the Americká street. Often you will meet weird people around train station.

About me

23-year-old Biomedical Engineering and Bioinformatics student, curious about both science and people. I am more of an introvert, usually recharging my batteries in nature, yet I enjoy deep conversations about life, dreams, religions and everything in between. When I am not coding, I enjoy hand-crafting, playing the violin, spending time outdoors, and occasionally treating myself to a theatre or opera performance. I also volunteer with elderly people and have a soft spot for repairing broken things around the house and cleaning. Most people would describe me as practical and realistic, but I still appreciate life's simple moments: watching sunsets, dreaming about the future, and finding beauty in the everyday.
