Not considering a few neighborhoods, like the main station or Cejl, it's very safe here. I often walk in the sleeping areas in the dark, still alive) there are many pubs in Brno, but even near them I don't feel threat to my life.
Posted: April 26, 2025I never feel good in a city when it is dark or night already. But at normal daylight time Hradec Králové is a nice place. Definitely reccommend being careful - mainly as a foreigner. And definitely around the main train station!! Never walk there with your headphones on and always look around you. But overall I would say you won't feel unwelcome. I studied there for 3 years and never had a dangerous experience

Újezd is a very very small village inside nature. So there is not much going on. Everyone knows everyone. There is a very little chance for something dangerous. The only thing that can happened is some kind of neighbors fight

As a girl i felt very safe in prague. I traveled in low season even if the streets were empty it was safe. The people there are nice and the public transports very safe. Overall it was very comfortable for me to walk there and I didn’t worry for pickpockets like i did in other cities in europe

I think Ostrava is a safe city in the Czech Republic. At night you can meet few people on the street and usually the streets are always lit. Therefore you can consider it a nice and not dangerous city.
Posted: April 23, 2025The only time I feel unsafe is when travelling alone after dark, but if you're with multiple girlfriends, or even one friend, you'll feel safe, or anyone any gender! I feel very safe using public transport, there is always a lot of people around in case something happens

Prague’s pretty chill and safe, even if you’re out alone at night. Just keep an eye on your stuff, especially in touristy spots. Use Bolt or Uber instead of random taxis—they can be sketchy. Most locals are polite and won’t bother you, but if something feels weird, trust your gut and dip. Public transport’s solid too, even late.

I feel very safe walking around Prague. It is the safest I have felt in any country. Transit is used by many people. Metro stations are well lit. I haven’t heard of instances of pickpocketing. People tend to keep to themselves and do not disturb you.
Posted: April 21, 2025It's one of the safest city in Karlovy Vary region (Karlovarský kraj). Residents are mostly families or elderly people. The historical centre and woods around the city are very safe. The only problematic area is dance club Dyleň, located in Ušovice. Lots of drunk students, but they never caused a problem.

Prague is safe city. Maybe in the city centre it is worse, but it is only because of tourists and you can't interfere with this. They are sometimes loud and can be dangerous. But local people are sweet, calm, always ready to help. Don't worry about getting lost!

One of my favorite trip. I was in Prague in the summer of 2023. I did feel safe, the food was great. There is a lot of food or dishes with meet so it’s a little bit harder to eat for a vegetarian (one of my friend who i travelled with). I think you can see anything you want in 3-4 days. We lived in a host for student and it was tolerable, maybe too far from the city centre. I recommend to see the little attractions too like the infinity book tower, not just the monuments.
Posted: April 26, 2025My trip to Prague was very safe. The transportation in the city is great and it's easy to get around - I went by both trams and metro. The tickets were easy to purchase and objectively cheap - I recommend buying the weekend option with the app. Local people are really kind, especially the ones working in museums and art galleries. Whenever they saw that I was by myself they were delighted to see someone interested in art in history and gave me so many helpful tips. Overall fantastic trip, I would totally recommend it for a first solo destination.

Hiii nice to meet you, Im Klara im student + I work as a English tutor and I also teach in few kindergartens a week. I don’t have much money, but i would love to travel somehow a bit more. And I don’t yet know how it works in here, but i hope this could help me. In future I think i could even host someone here near capital city of Czech Republic (Prague). We live on a slightly bigger plot of land with my mom and have one small apartment yet to be finished and rented out here as a part of our house, and this could be a nice use for it. Anyways i hope i meet some new nice people and maybe even opportunities :3
