Pilsen used to be more dangerous at night at certain parts in a city center. Streets Americká and Klatovská is not the best place to stay at night - i remember that people from other countries (ukraine) used to attack each other at streets and in the bars.. This was a few years ago, i dont live in city center but on the outskirts, i feel 100% safe here. And the center at night - i think its safer but i have no reason to go there at night.
Posted: November 26, 2024I think Prague is overall a very safe city to be in. Of course, there are parts that are less safe than others, but I would not be worried about a big crime there. The only thing I’d pay attention to are pickpockets, but again, compared to other bigger cities, it is still very uncommon.
Posted: November 17, 2024Pelhřimov is a very small and safe town, where something rarely happens. The people here are nice and helpful. There is a selection of many restaurants and sights, even in the surrounding area. I recommend visiting the Museum of Records and Curiosities.

Prague is I think, one of the safest cities - we have excellent public transport and no ghetto-no go zone. There can be problems with drunk foreigners (Prague is famous for a cheap beer), but it's one incident in ages. Police are really good and will definitely help if there is any problem. I am feeling overally safe. However, I would warn before pickpockets. As Prague is an extremely turistic place, there are lot of them and also some tourist scams. I would recommend YouTube channel HonestGuide for exact advice.

Prague is generally a safe city, especially the city center since there is a lot of tourists. I wouldn’t recommend being in Zizkov area and in the main train station area after dark - many homeless people, some of them make you feel unsafe.
Posted: October 15, 2024It's okay, in the bad places just walk in 2 at night. You can meet a group of drunk teens, but usually they are not dangerous. I feel completely save during a day, no robberies, sometimes just annoying strange grandpa, want to talk about his live and wife and hobbies
Posted: October 6, 2024In Brno nothing ever happend to me (in a bad way) There are streets which I don’t feel really comfortable going during the night but even though I did it several times I came back home absolutely okey. There are only few parts where I am a bit more aware and looking around but generally I would describe Brno as a safer place.

I feel very safe in the city and also hiking in the Czech Republic. But Prague is a capital after all, so petty crime such as pickpocketing and vehicle thefts and break-ins occurs. Pay attention when taking a cab, especially at hotspots, unlicensed cabs often wait there. Ordered cabs, that is more reliable. When changing money on the street, foreigners may be given counterfeit money or banknotes of a much lower value by third parties. In bars and other establishments, bills may be increased and narcotics may be used, resulting in theft and occasionally sexual abuse.
Posted: August 25, 2024I think, Pilsen isz really safe place, which is open for Tourismus. Yeah, we have some terrible places like in every city around the world. I love Pilsen!
Posted: August 23, 2024During day time, I feel very safe walking alone pretty much anywhere here, but at night I wouldnt go to remote and unlit places alone and be careful about using the main bus station. Lot of alcoholics, homeless people etc

Prague felt mostly safe, although very crowded! The christmas markets were cool. I stayed in an all women’s hostel that was right in old town and quite nice, would definitely recommend staying there! You will enjoy if you are an architecture buff or enjoy history! I can’t comment on the party scene but I hear that it is also good.
Posted: December 13, 2024Very pretty city as well-known. Lots of tourists, very crowded. 3 days were enough. Felt safe, easy to walk around. Some food were expensive, but some were ok. Try lunch menus. Would like to comeback with mom

Hi! My name is Kaja and I'm 18 years old. Living next to a small town in Czechia is sometimes a bit boring for me so I love to travel and explore new cultures. (and also new food, I just love food:D) I was in Mexico for half a year as an exchange student and I have been in several european countries.
