Solo travel

Squamish is an amazing city to go climbing or hiking. I did the panorama ridge with an amazing view of the lake and the montains. And everywhere around there is climbing spots ! The wild life is everywhere. I felt very safe, the city center is one street with shops, thrift, and some bars.

Squamish is very safe for anyone to travel to! I have lived here for two years and it is wonderful. Highly would recommend white water rafting while here, checking out the Sea to Sky Gondola and grabbing some ramen from Taka Sushi and Ramen. Fox and Oak has great coffee and the best donuts (GF and vegan options too). Pearls Value and Vintage is our little thrift store and all of the proceeds go to the women’s centre. If you’re here in the summer, there is a farmers market downtown every Saturday and live music in Junction Park (Amped in the park) on Thursdays.
