Vancouver is great for anyone, from casual walks along the beach to live music. I recently went to a concert and had so much fun. The transit is great, and friendly people. Although it’s expensive, I recommend Granville island

Highly recommend, but it can be pricey (although worth it). Staying in the downtown area was amazing, although a bit busy. There’s lots of to do and it’s beautiful walking down by the waterfront. I didn’t have any safety concerns

I've been to Canada for a whole year to work and travel. It was amazing! The people were so nice and helpful all the time and the nature is just amazing! I would recommend to buy a car though, so you can experience the country even better since public transfer is good but limited outside the cities 😬

I visited Lake Louise in late March and it was absolutely stunning! I was lucky enough to get a sunny day where I could see the mountains, the lake was still frozen so I walked on the surface which was so cool to experience. Definitely worth a visit, just make sure you get a park pass in the information center!

I have been living in Montreal for almost a year now. I never felt unsafe in this city, day or night. I never experienced catcall, street harassment or theft. It is a city where women can walk, bike, drive or take the metro without feeling unsafe.
Posted: June 5, 2026Victoria is very safe. Of course like any place we have our cons too. There's trouble with homeless individuals on mainly Pandora Ave so please avoid that. Homeless individuals are mostly minding their own business unless they're overdosed then its dangerous so avoiding is best. Its common sense I think
Posted: June 5, 2026Winnipeg feels generally safe, but the areas to be conscious of are downtown during the night and the north end area (day and night). Also would avoid public transportation during the late evening and night.
Posted: June 1, 2026Safety in Montreal varies a lot depending on neighborhood. Plateau Mont Royal, Villeray, Mile End, feel very safe compared to my references (London, Marseille, Reunion, Paris), but some neighborhoods can feel very rough. The city centre around Berri-Uqam for example, can make you feel very uneasy with drug use and homelessness, although I’ve never witnessed violence myself there, but I wouldn’t feel safe there if I visited for the first time.

Salam (Peace)! Mariam here :) I love making new connections and I take any opportunity to say hi to strangers. I think as a Muslim gal I feel a sense of responsibility to break stereotypes and let the world know how fun and free we are, and I think that's where my extrovertness comes from hahaha. I love sewing and I might have too much fabric but honestly one can never have enough fabric (i didn't make the rule). In this life I've been blessed with an incredible mother and 3 crazy brothers who always have my back so I have been living life to the fullest and I am so grateful~ I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and I can never get tired of witnessing stunning sunsets literally everyday!! I hope to make use this platform to make some international connections. Looking forward to meeting you strangers ^-^

Just your regular Canadian Dirtbabe, feral introvert. I enjoy connecting through shared experiences, swimming, hikes, camping, good food, and live music! Nature is my medicine, also where I source a lot of food. I spend a lot of time searching out fresh Springs and hot Springs. I like to exit society for extended periods of time in the forest.
