Solo travel

Felt very safe as a solo traveller in Canmore. Found an appartement on air bnb for 500 cnd for 3 nights. I strongly suggest taking the tasting menu at sauvage if you are in town. It is the most memorable culinary experience I had, and it is not that expensive for all you get. Amazing service too ! If you are there in winter, go ski! It is amazing. You can look up ski friends. Each ski resort have them , so you have someone to show you around!

Family travel

Canmore is absolutely beautiful and it’s a place I’d love to go back to. Felt very safe traveling there with my children. The food however is expensive at restaurants, and the portions are on the smaller side at a couple of the restaurants so wasn’t as ideal to feed a family. There is a Safeway there where we purchased snacks to help lesson the food cost. Very close to so many beautiful locations. Took a raft ride down the river, and lots to do within a short driving distance. Banff, lake Louise, waterfall hike in Johnson Canyon is well worth an afternoon.
