I felt safe travelling around Bangkok. Be aware of your surroundings of course because in some areas, there is known pickpocketing. But as long as you are sensible and have your wits about you you’ll be fine. Locals are very friendly and will help if you are lost or stuck.
Posted: April 29, 2025Highly recommend travelling to Bangkok Thailand! I loved the food, especially for whatever reason the Carbonars Pizza at Pizza hut. Hands down best pizza of my life. Secondly please go to any Eat Am Are franchise and do yourself a favour by ordering the pork steak, my boyfriend and i wanna go back for just that cuz it was divine.
Posted: April 13, 2025Experienced: December, 2022I can walk around at night by myself which is great. There are no catcallers, I can leave my stuff in the open and nobody would bother to touch it. It's a great place to go solo or in a group. Just be respectful with the people and your behavior, because they're very spiritual

love a good khao soi, anywhere you can get it :) I stayed at the Pula hotel, right next to Si Lom station, very conventionally to get here by public transport. The room is spacious, but nothing special. just wander around and soak in all the hustle and bustle bangkok has to offer 😊
Posted: February 13, 2025Experienced: February, 2025I felt surprisingly safe in Bangkok. Of course the general rules as a solo female traveler still count. Be aware in big crowds and at night. Don’t go into dodgy allies and I guess don’t stay out until too late
Posted: January 20, 2025I feel very safe traveling alone. You can explore icon Siam, Wat Arun, BTS, Khaosan road, Chinatown..Food is so tasty. pad Thai is nice. I spent about 200$ for 3 nights 4 days. I stayed around Pratunam

Hey I was solo traveling for 3 days in Bangkok. I slept in the „hift hostel“ for about 128 bath per day. It was very close to the city and I really liked the hostel but the beds are very uncomfortable hard haha The hostel has really nice rooftop the view is incredible. It’s a really calm hostel where just a few people are talking to each other. I was walking around with a crop top and shorts and felt mostly safe so don’t be scared If you want to visit the temples you need to wear something over your shoulder Okay by

Bangkok is an amazing place to start your journey in Thailand or South East Asia in general! Lots to do and it is easy to meet new people! Even at night I felt very safe! Definitely check out one of the rooftop bars, the view is really worth it
Posted: August 4, 2024I've never felt safer than in Bangkok, and Thai people are the most friendly ppl, I recommend visiting Bangkok when you come to Thailand, for more than a few days, 3 days isn't enough to discover the city.
Posted: July 25, 2024Experienced: June, 2023I did feel safe. Our must go place during the weekend is Chatuchak market. Highly recommended to go early so it is not so hot. The place is huge and be prepared to be sweaty and sticky shopping around.. there’s now a new mall that’s open right next to the market. A new alternative to cool down after being hot outside the market :)

Quite safe for females and solo travellers, literally i live and work here so in general the locals are amiable and help whenever you needed. I like to stroll alone at night sometime and it’s considered as a one of the capital city that is comfortable and secure.
Posted: February 18, 2025You can travel alone because Thai people are very kind and polite. But you must maintain basic safety, such as not asking for directions from strangers, but only asking for directions from officials.

Hey I’m Gianna nice to meet you! I’m 🇹🇭🇮🇹! Some of my hobbies are bowling, karaoke, dancing and watching tv/movies! And also cooking! I am Interested in psychology and the media in terms of entertainment! I live in Bangkok Thailand and I was born here as well but raised in Huahin so I moved back to Bangkok last year in order to start living in the city independently but luckily I have family around me close by! Let Me know if you’d be down to hangout or something as well! Perhaps some lunch or coffee? Karaoke? Bowling as a group? We can chat and figure it out and as a local in Bangkok, I can help recommend things like restaurants or places to visit I freelance in the sense of tutoring languages (Spanish and English online currently) as well as pet sitting on Petbacker! Personality wise, I’m quite the ambivert! I love meeting new people especially the girlies (cause who run the world!? Girls!) from across the globe and learn about different nationalities and cultures and enhance my international awareness but I as well do like my own space and alone time whenever it’s right! So it’s a balance for sure of alone time and being with people! I myself, tend to be quite the planner and occasionally open to being spontaneous if only I don’t have anything big going on around that time but I’m a fairly organized person! I am friendly, empathetic, funny and open minded!
