Iași is a pretty safe place to be in. In my 6 years of living here nothing happened to me which should rise awareness. I usually don't go out at night so I cannot offer much information about this, still, when I would be out nothing happened that could disturb my peace. Be normally cautious and everything will be alright. Most of the young people speak English.

Honestly ive lived here my whole life and never had anything happen to me even at night even when i was by myself. You get the random catcalling sometimes but overall its a safe town. People are nice and mind their own business i would however be weary near gypsies no racism but they are often out to steal. I say this from experience. Be alert.

I feel pretty safe here. There are some exceptions as there are in any cities in general, you need to be aware of your surroundings. It's definitely not the safest city, but overall ok. I would be careful with walking at night by myself, but I am a scaredy cat in general.

I was studying in Iași a while ago, pretty nice city, amazing architecture and a lot of young people that you can go on with. It was pretty safe even walking late night. The city is always up, with a lot of different activities for everyone.
