Honestly ive lived here my whole life and never had anything happen to me even at night even when i was by myself. You get the random catcalling sometimes but overall its a safe town. People are nice and mind their own business i would however be weary near gypsies no racism but they are often out to steal. I say this from experience. Be alert.

I feel pretty safe here. There are some exceptions as there are in any cities in general, you need to be aware of your surroundings. It's definitely not the safest city, but overall ok. I would be careful with walking at night by myself, but I am a scaredy cat in general.

I was studying in Iași a while ago, pretty nice city, amazing architecture and a lot of young people that you can go on with. It was pretty safe even walking late night. The city is always up, with a lot of different activities for everyone.

So, I've never experienced assault or anything like that in my life when walking on the streets, but I've heard of extremely many cases of robbery. Also, it's not so safe to walk at night as a woman. There are many shady drunk or high dudes out there.
