If ture a woman is a bit tricky but avoid certain parts and don’t go out very late and you will be completely fine The police is not very helpful, but also the crime rate is really low and we don’t have guns almost at all

Overall, it’s safe, but like in any city, it’s good to stay aware of your surroundings—especially in busy or touristy areas where petty theft can happen. Traveling between the cities is safe, but the English language knowledge of the local population is limited, so be ready to use some Romanian on the way.

Over all safe during the day, public transport can be a bit tricky as it gets quite busy/full at certain hours and pickpocketing is not that uncommon around here. Cat calling/verbal harassing can also occur but as you can expect it usually comes from men either sober or intoxicated, it's best to ignore because often times they're not alone (only if its something mild of course). There have been incidents of people being reported as public threats (harassing/threatening girls and women), but the police would quickly get involved, in the meantime people would take pictures of the culprits, makes posts about it so the news would spread quickly and women knew who to avoid. Again, over all safe, best to avoid secluded place and really busy public transportation.

It's a beautiful city, I haven't encountered any unpleasant events even though I've been living there for 9 years, people are quite friendly but there are also drunk street people. It's a city where the police are extra cautious.

Iasi is mainly safe during the day, there are strange people like everywhere but not many. After dark, in some neighbourhoods safety is not at the maximum, so you need to be a bit careful, but overall Iasi is ok at safety.

Iași it's a very safe and beautiful town. The people are usually friendly. The public transport is also very safe and it's the best option for tourists when visiting the main objectives. Being a host to the first University in Romania, Iași represents home for many young people, mostly students, not only from Romania but from around the world.

Iași is a pretty safe city if you ask me. It's not the biggest and crowdest even tho it's animated enough. People in clubs are pretty friendly. It's a university city so it has many students and young comunities. There are some shadier neighbourhoods but it's still not so bad.

Iasi is a very safe city. There are some areas where I didn't feel completely comfortable walking alone at night, especially with groups of men around. The train station area there are a lot of people consuming substances, so that is one example of those kinds of areas.

It is a very safe city, with civilized people. The social life is equilibrated and the public transport is decent, not that modern, but very safe. I have never experienced harassment or violent language in the city of Jassy.

The police department works hard in Iaşi. Since it's a student city, safety is really important for us. I can go outside when it's dark. I can also freely go to the nightclubs or bars with my friends. Additionally, taxis and other car rental apps are useful and safe.
