Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, is generally safe and it's inhabitants are quite welcoming. However, like any place, it's important to maintain an element of caution, especially during night hours. Low-lit areas, and quiet streets should be avoided. Is Cagliari worth visiting?

Family travel

I stayed in Torre delle Stelle in cagliari, in a (not super nice) Airbnb. Other than that, it was near the beach and that never gets old. Would have a beautiful breakfast in the cafe on the beach, then go swim. Pasta at home and then go back to the beach at night. (You definitely need a car if you go here btw)

Solo travel

I feel very safe in Cagliari! There is a fair amount to do and there’s a nice buzz to the city. I found it difficult to find hostels so am in Airbnbs. There are a good amount of tours here and people seem very used to tourists and are very friendly.

Is Cagliari safe for women?

Cagliari is overall a safe city, but I would avoud as a woman to walk alone in the dark, expecially after midnight. In the city center is safe since there usually are lot of people, but outside the city center I would move with a friend or a taxi. During the day the city is pretty safe.
