I felt very safe in Athens, even at night. The food was excellent. O Thanasus was one of my favorite restaurants. Their food was fresh, very good and at a great price. Everything in Athens was very affordable. I stayed in an apartment at Kolokotroni 44. This was walking distance from all the popular sites and the metro.

My stay in Santorini was so nice and I felt very safe. The locals were nice too. The hostel I stayed in was in Fira, but I spent most of my time in the kamari beach. The food was great and I recommend going to oia for the sunset

It is a very good place to relax, the food is delicious and not too expensive. There are not many sights, but it is a pleasant and ideal place for a good rest. The environment is quite safe. Kind people ☺️

NAFPLIO, GREECE. A gem 2h away from Athens. If you are traveling to Athens I definitely suggest you to get out of town for a day (or even an overnight) in Nafplio. It’s small and that is the beauty of it. It has lots of importance on the history of Greece since it was one of the capitals of Greece back in the days. It has a beautiful fort on the top of the mountain that you can visit and gives the charm of the city at night. Take a bike ride or a hike towards the big beach as well. Experience the city at night and in the morning. Epidaurus theatre is very close by not to mention other archaeological sites. Enjoy this pretty little town 💙

I always felt safe. There were no instances where I felt my safety was in jeopardy, and the people were kind. There was good food and interesting activities, and it was not as expensive as I expected for Europe.

I had a great time! Touristy but not overwhelming. More expensive than the other Sporades islands but with loads to see. I recommend a tour with a boat to the outside of the island, a visit to the Monastery and you can definitely get cheaper food if you look. Always more expensive options but everywhere I ate it was great. Good public transport if you don't want to rent something. Very clean waters and lovely people!!
Posted: September 8, 2024Experienced: June, 2024I live in Athens now and have been for the last months. I visited the acropolis and it was so nice. It was free entry bc I’m 22 which was really good. The people are nice and the food are great. They have a lot of different rooftop bars also around monastiraki. I would recommend MS rooftop, hyper, A for Athens and 360 rooftop bar.

Visited Greece in the last week of May. Since I went there in the summer, it was quite hot, but the overall experience was worth it. Due to limited time, I only visited Athens and Santorini, and I witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life at the Acropolis in Athens. I traveled solo, and Greece felt pretty safe, I even met other female solo travelers. I have visited some other countries as well, but Greece tops the list when it comes to great food. I prefer budget traveling, and Greece was one of the most economical countries I have visited so far, I spent around 200 pounds, including hostels, food, the Acropolis ticket, and transportation. The transportation system in Athens is pretty smooth, and if you are a student, you can get a student discount. However, Santorini's public transport is limited, with each trip costing around 2 pounds. The buses have a fixed schedule and only go to specific routes, so if you miss one, you might have to wait more than 30 minutes for the next. If you want to explore Santorini, it's better to have your own transport, or you can rent cars, bikes, etc. Overall, if you want to visit Greece as a solo traveler, I would highly recommend it. I hope you have a great time in Greece, just as I did. Good luck! 🫶

Thessaloniki is a safe and very welcoming city, in general. There are several places you'd better avoid walking alone, mostly in the dark. As always and everywhere, you should take care of your personal belongings. Mostly in these places mentioned above but also some popular areas, chanves being harassed (and then being told that they are just "flirting") (to be honest, mostly not by Greek guys) always exist.

Kalamata is a beautiful city for va t’actions but also for digital nomads. Everything goes so slow and people enjoy their life. It’s big enough to have everything but also not chaotic big so everything is easy

I'm a full-time traveler since August 2022. As a spiritual mentor and coach I work mostly online or meet my coachees at the most beautiful places in the world. My twins are grown and live in different parts of the world. I love to meet people all over the world, making new contacts and sometimes friends, getting to know the culture and local living.

I'm dying to explore new countries and learn about cultures. My favorite is mountain climbing next to waterfalls and swimming in the sea at sunset :)) My goal is to see the northern lights up close🤪
