Greece, Solo travel

Visited Greece in the last week of May. Since I went there in the summer, it was quite hot, but the overall experience was worth it. Due to limited time, I only visited Athens and Santorini, and I witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life at the Acropolis in Athens. I traveled solo, and Greece felt pretty safe, I even met other female solo travelers. I have visited some other countries as well, but Greece tops the list when it comes to great food. I prefer budget traveling, and Greece was one of the most economical countries I have visited so far, I spent around 200 pounds, including hostels, food, the Acropolis ticket, and transportation. The transportation system in Athens is pretty smooth, and if you are a student, you can get a student discount. However, Santorini's public transport is limited, with each trip costing around 2 pounds. The buses have a fixed schedule and only go to specific routes, so if you miss one, you might have to wait more than 30 minutes for the next. If you want to explore Santorini, it's better to have your own transport, or you can rent cars, bikes, etc. Overall, if you want to visit Greece as a solo traveler, I would highly recommend it. I hope you have a great time in Greece, just as I did. Good luck! 🫶

Lindos, Family travel

Lindos was a family trip and we all felt very safe in the area. It has cute cobbled square with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. They have boat excursions where dolphins were seen and it was value for money!

Walk up and down as many streets as possible in Plaka. Enjoy the many cafes and eateries. Take in the sights. And smile at the friendly locals and fellow travellers. Have a wonderful time in this beautiful and historical city!

Skiathos, Solo travel

I had a great time! Touristy but not overwhelming. More expensive than the other Sporades islands but with loads to see. I recommend a tour with a boat to the outside of the island, a visit to the Monastery and you can definitely get cheaper food if you look. Always more expensive options but everywhere I ate it was great. Good public transport if you don't want to rent something. Very clean waters and lovely people!!
