Despite it not being extraordinarily beautiful/historic/whatever, I really love Wolfsburg! Once you know the good spots, it's awesome! As for safety; as long as you stick to the usual (don't try to out-drink Germans!!), you'll be good It's a really walkable city but I used my bus ticket quite a few times, the bus system in Wolfsburg is great! Hotels I stayed at & liked: 1) DJH Jugendherberge -> cheap (if you sleep in a shared room) & central 2) WOB Hotel -> moderate & central 3) Premier Inn -> more pricey & a 5 minute walk from the city centre Food recommendations: - Wasabi Sushi - Dean & David - Superleggera Bar & Café - Eiscafé S. Marco - Ateliercafé - Eat Grill & Bar Things to do/visit: - Allerpark!! -> my favourite thing about Wolfsburg, you can go for a walk, swim in the sea or the indoor swimming pool, try the climbing track or even visit the football stadium - Brunnen- & Quellenwanderung -> start is at the VW-Bad & there's several walks through the forest you can take - phaeno -> science-museum that is cool for all ages! - see the She-Wolves live -> Wolfsburg's football team are one of the best in the league, they play in the AOK stadium (Allerpark) - Designer Outlet -> for your shopping tour xx - Autostadt -> VW, Porsche, Seat etc. show their new cars & their history - Klieversberg -> you should watch a sunset from that hill!! - Planetarium -> so cool! - Burg Neuhaus -> nice for walking - Fallersleben (including the castle) -> cute part of the city & great for walks Outside of Wolfsburg: - day-trip to Hannover/Braunschweig/Celle - Tierpark Essehof - Harz (region)
