Is Winterhude safe for solo female travelers?

Very dafe area. Walking around anywhere day and night on my own. Maybe just skip the park at night, just because it is rather dark, not because of fear. Also great for cycling. And kayaking on the canals.

Winterhude is a fairly affluent neighbourhood in Hamburg and is (in my experience) quite safe. I regularly walk in the dark, take buses or the U-Bahn without worry. Of course especially on the weekends you might encounter drunk people, but they are usually not threatening. The only theft you really have to worry about is bike theft. Please take the usual precautions that are natural to women and other not cis-men, but don't shy away from staying here or travelling through!
