I would say WI is overall safe, I travel a lot and have never experienced anything unusual but still there are a few areas which I avoid especially during night. Otherwise, I moved here 2 years back and ever since I‘m enjoying it.
Posted: January 20, 2026Wiesbaden is generally a relatively safe city, I'd say. You do get some nasty comments from men every now and then, but it's nothing unusual. Apart from unpleasant stories about men who have behaved inappropriately, I rarely get bad stories about dangerous situations here.

Wiesbaden is a safe and peaceful city with a relaxed vibe. I feel comfortable walking around most of the time, even at night. Public areas are clean and the locals are generally friendly and respectful.
Posted: July 11, 2025It is pretty safe depending on the area you're in but at night it can feel a bit dangerous. If you have a friend or a pepper spray for instance it doesn't feel scary but I just prefer to be prepared in general. People ar pretty kind here
Posted: June 4, 2025Wiesbaden is a very safe city. Some students live here, but mainly older people who are very well-groomed and tend to have a higher status. In the neighborhoods where such people live, one feels comfortable. Along Schwalbacher Straße and at the Platz der deutschen Einheit, it is somewhat unsafe at night, and some homeless people live here. Nevertheless, I feel relatively safe as a local.

Hey, my name is Hannah and I often travel alone. Often without a plan or accommodation, which is why I've often found myself in difficult situations, which is why I really like this app. I am a very spontaneous and open person who is up for anything if it sounds exciting or funny. I often travel in Germany with the Deutschland Ticket and go on city trips but also like to go hiking or to festivals. Also I'm interested in photography and learning russian.

Helloo☺️ I am Lea, 25 years old and moved to Wiesbaden (directly by the cities Frankfurt and Mainz) 3 years ago for my Masters degree. Now I work here in the Sustainable Mobility Sector and Cycling🚲 I love walking through cities, looking at architecture, reading (especially novels and fantasy), meeting my friends, dancing/music and swimming. I also like to cook and bake - sometimes with a glass of wine or gin 😋 Wiesbaden is known for it's good wine, so feel free to put this thesis to the test🌚 I am an open, extrovert person and would love to meet new people and show you arround my hood! 🌸🎀
