Saarbrücken, our state capital located just 10 km away, has an average overall safety level. In contrast, the small village of Bliesransbach – part of the nearby municipality of Kleinblittersdorf – is a very safe and peaceful place.

I'd say it's a pretty safe city, I've never felt threatened in the slightest. I routinely walk around alone and at night. The city center is usually lively, especially on the weekends. I have heard of bikes getting stolen but it hasn't happened to me. But please keep in mind that I'm a white woman from Germany and can only speak to that specific experience
Posted: May 26, 2025lots of foreigners staring at you and moving into your personal space. experienced comments several times and they wouldn’t go away even when I told them. at several places in the center there might be drunk people or taking drugs
Posted: April 21, 2025Saarbrücken is a very peaceful city where a woman can go out alone at night without being scared. The only crimes that sometimes occur are robberies, but never once where you have to fear violence. Overall i can recommend Saarbrücken for solo travelers.

Hi I'm Cemre, if I need to tell you about myself, Art is my biggest passion! I draw digitally and traditionally, I also do sculpture. Discovering new music is one of my favorite things. I am from Turkey and I have been living in Germany for 5 months now. Seeing new places, experiencing different cultures and meeting interesting people inspires me. I find Travel Ladies very useful and hope to have good conversations here!
