Is Moselle Valley safe for solo female travelers?

The Moselle Valley in Germany has a solid reputation for being a very secure and welcoming place for solo female travelers. Its cozy towns along with the well-trodden wine trails are safe to be explored even when you're alone. The locals here are warm, friendly, and helpful.
