Is Merseburg Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Merseburg is a beautiful small city, easy to move around. Some shops in the center with most of what you need. And the people are very friendly. The weather is fine and you can travel with a bike to almost every place.

It is mostly a safe city if you move along the more visited ways, but when you start going to deserted areas it can be pretty dangerous and somebody looking after you/catcalling you is inevitably. Especially in the night along the path around the Gotthards teich its common for high ir drunk people to be around —> be most careful around that area. the amount of times i got catcalled or felt like somebody is gonna beat me up is insane (even when i was a minor)

My small city is really safe. I can walk at any time there. It’s a really small and safe town. There’s only local people and there’s no homeless people. I’m always scared of them. That’s it’s important for me.
