Mannheim is generally a safe city for solo female travelers. Most areas are very safe and people are usually friendly and helpful. Like anywhere, you'll want to be mindful of your surroundings, especially during the night or in less crowded areas. Public transport is dependable and incidents of pickpocketing are rare but do occur, so keep an eye on your belongings. Personal safety equipment is not necessary but being aware and alert is advisable.

Mannheim is generally safe to walk alone at night. However, like any urban area, certain spots might get a bit dodgy after dark. Public transportation in Mannheim is generally quite safe, efficient, and reliable. The city offers a well-organized network of trams, buses, and trains. The system services major tourist areas and connects to other regions, making it ideal for solo trips. Mannheim, like many cities in Germany, is generally safe for solo female travelers. However, like anywhere, some level of caution should always be exercised. In terms of street harassment, most travelers report feeling comfortable and secure. Incidents of street harassment are largely infrequent, particularly in well-populated areas. There is no part of the city that feels unsafe during the day; they can all be visited without hesitation. Mannheim is a relatively safe city, although I would rather not visit the red-light district in the Neckarstadt.

Mannheim is a very international and cool city. Yes there are some corners I would stay away from. But walk with confidence and mostly people are super nice here. Don't go to the famous red district.
