Lüneburg is a small student city. During the day it is a very safe city. At night i would try to avoid the parc and station, but i never lived an unsafe situation even there. I feel very safe in Lüneburg generally. It is a political left orientated city where especially students are very aware and paying attention on how the people around them are doing.

So Lüneburg is actually the place I feel most safe out of the places I’ve lived so far. It is a tiny city and the people are very left/liberal, there’s a lot of communities and a generally helping vibe across town. I have lived here for more than 3 years now and have not been catcalled or harassed once. Hamburg is the next bigger city which is easily accessible by train (30 min) and it definitely is a different vibe there. So going for a trip to Hamburg I would recommend being a little more...

Lüneburg is a small City with around 70 000 citizens. Its quite relaxed here and as i See it, Not that dangerous. Of course try to not walk aro und alone at night (also at night there is almost no public transportation).

hi, i‘m a student and love getting to meet people from all over! I‘m big on concerts, so often also looking for an opportunity to crash somewhere after a gig :) I love long talks and walks, books and just stories in general! And well of course music!
