if you know how to avoid certain areas at night (koblenz main station where the crack addicts are) and stay in the old city to party, you're okay. there might be some weird men out in the city, but not more than somewhere else in a moderately small european city. i've been walking the city alone at night since i've been 15 and nothing ever happened- however in bars, men might be a little persuasive, so be careful not to talk to just anyone.
Posted: November 28, 2025Nothing big ever happening here. It is a generally quite safe area. I think it is typical to say that you should be cautious no matter what, especially as a woman late at night, but if you follow your gut, you will be alright.

Posted: March 17, 2025Koblenz is pretty safe at night I only had 2 scary encounters while being out with another girl friend but in general it’s safe. Of course the train stations or some other spots are filled with drunk/homeless people or people that abused drugs but so far I didn’t encounter any troubles with them.
Posted: January 23, 2025Koblenz is a small city. There is a big police station quite in the middle so you know they’d be there in a second. I went to school in the city for more than 10 years and am working in the Center of the city. The only “bad” experience I’ve had was in the night partying. And I guess we can blame that on the alcohol. I really like the city and I’ve never felt in danger or something. The people are (mostly) friendly and helping. We have many tourists so I guess it’s quite important to have a safe and attractive city ;)
