Public transportation and taxis are reliable and women often feel safe using them at any time. Local people are friendly and helpful. Avoid walking alone in parks or along the river late at night.

Is Kempten safe for women?

All in all it’s very save in Kempten. Only walking home at night is a bit scary like everywhere. I don’t remember any major uncomfortable situations with strangers, but there can be some weird people sometimes like every city has them.

It‘s a small very safe town, where you shouldn’t be worried about being alone. Of course there are also parts of the city, where you feel a little more unsafe than in other parts, but all in all it’s pretty safe.
