I personally feel pretty safe in this small city but at night I am not always comfortable walking alone. However I never experienced any dangerous or unpleasent situations there. And I think the rural areas of Germany are in general pretty safe in comparison to the big cities.

All in all it’s very save in Kempten. Only walking home at night is a bit scary like everywhere. I don’t remember any major uncomfortable situations with strangers, but there can be some weird people sometimes like every city has them.

It‘s a small very safe town, where you shouldn’t be worried about being alone. Of course there are also parts of the city, where you feel a little more unsafe than in other parts, but all in all it’s pretty safe.
