I personally feel very safe in Karlsruhe. I’m comfortable walking around on my own, using public transport and being outside alone, even late at night. I often go running along the Alb after dark and have always felt completely comfortable there. Of course, normal awareness is always a good idea, just as it would be in any city. But overall, Karlsruhe feels relaxed, safe and easy to get around. As a woman, I rarely think twice about going somewhere alone, and I would definitely consider it a...

Never had a bad experience there even late at night. Sometimes stupid drunk people but mostly young students, which are harmless. Catcalls sometimes happen, and I would not recommend parks while dark

Karlsruhe is in my opinion safe, but there are some areas where I would not go alone after dark. These areas are around Werderplatz and in Oberreut. But other than that it’s safe, at least I feel safe. The Main station is also mostly safe, as there is a lot of police walking around and checking everything.

It's so safe, probably the safest place in the world, it's great. It's really safe. Beautiful place. You probably won't feel safer anywhere else. I once felt very unsafe, but then I moved to Karlsruhe. Great city.

relatively safe, given its not that small of a city. Lots of students and young people, quite clean. there sure are a few sketchy areas, as are in any other city, so I would not feel comfortable going there at night, but throughout the day it’s fine.

About me

Hi, I’m Angélique from Karlsruhe, Germany. 😊 I’m a funeral director, a job that might sound unusual, but one that I truly love. I’m an open-minded, warm and straightforward person with a good sense of humor. I love sports and being active, traveling, discovering new places, good food, spontaneous little adventures – and especially the sea. Unfortunately, Karlsruhe is pretty far from the ocean, so I guess I just have to travel. 😄🌊 I’d also really love to discover more of Northern Europe. Sweden, Finland and Denmark are high on my list, and I thought Travel Ladies might be a great way to start exploring them. And then… let’s see where the journey takes me. ✈️ I live with my 18-year-old son and our dog Lucky, who is very much part of the family. 🐾 I’d love to connect with women from different countries, travel together, visit each other or simply share some good moments along the way. If I’m hosting, I can currently offer a couch in my bedroom for one female traveler. It’s a shared space rather than a private room, and of course I’ll always be upfront about that. 😊
