As a queer person, I've never experienced any assault, harassment or unsafe behavior in Karlsruhe. Not in public transportation or at night. All in all I'd say it's pretty safe. There are a few spots you should avoid at night tho, for example Oberreut or Werderplatz but the Train Central Station is very well lit and safe.

Pretty save to be honest. I am living here since a child! Its good to live with kids, we have a lot of safety checks and police cars driving around. Theres many ppl here from all different ages- which makes me feel much more save!
