So, I lived in Turkey and USA! After those countries Ingolstadt is really safe and calm city. I sometimes have very early flights and need to use transportation at night and not worried about being harassed at all. I live alone and sometimes I go for a walk at city center to relax a little bit and again I don’t worried about my safety. People generally are really friendly.

There are parts of the city where you should not be alone in the dark. Mostly, you feel save if you walk around alone, even in the darkness. The police station is in the center of the city, so they can reach most of the places fast.
