Like any other city, there a places in Hannover which are best avoided after dark as a single woman, like the city centre after shop closing, the area behind the main station and certain residential areas. Public transport is safe, even late at night.
Posted: March 1, 2025Steintor, Linden and near main Station are the unsafe places. But morning and afternoon is it ok. Sometimes there are drunken guys in main Station at night, but as Hannover is a big city, there are always passer-by.

Hello everyone! I’m Julia, 40 years old, and from Hanover. As an enthusiastic explorer, I’m always on the lookout for new adventures and inspiring travel companions. My travel passions: • City trips • Cultural journeys • Sports trips I love discovering new cultures, trying local cuisine, and exploring off the beaten path. I’m also passionate about sustainable travel and finding unique experiences that connect me with local communities. When I’m not traveling, I work as a German tutor and Remote Work Relocation Supporter, helping others achieve their goals while embracing new opportunities. In my free time, I enjoy touch rugby, jogging, and learning new skills to continuously improve myself. As a local in Hanover, I’m happy to meet travelers, share insider tips, and show you the hidden gems of my city. Whether it’s exploring a vibrant café scene, enjoying local festivals, or simply taking a scenic walk, I’m always up for creating meaningful connections.
