I usually feel safe here as a woman, even at night. Occasionally you'll see drunk or shady people around Bohlweg, Schloss or at the main station, but I wouldn't call it a general threat. It's definitely safe enough for female solo travelers.

I never experienced something bad to myself but I know other friends of mine have other views and experiences on that so it is a pretty safe city but I think as a women you can never be to cautious after all you can get sexual assaulted anywhere now

So safe and clean no worries about going out at night all the people there are helpful and cheerful There is two universities here so its full of international students and for english speaker no worries
