In my view, Bonn is a safe city. No matter what time, even at night, I never feel threatened. The people here are friendly and helpful. the city is very multicultural. This allows you to meet very different people and enjoy specialties from all kinds of countries.

Bonn is very Safe in General. But I would prefer not to walk alone. It’s better to be with someone. And also better to not walk alone when it’s dark. If you get dressed up, be in a group. That’s it 😊

It's a great city if you like cute cafés, architecture and culture. The night life is not huge, but cologne is nearby to go partying. It is safe as long as you stay in public (transport). Avoid being alone in trams or at the main station at night, nothing has happened to me but I do feel unsafe due to drug addicts.

During the day, I feel very safe in Bonn. So far, I haven't had any experience with pickpockets. At night, there are certain areas that I avoid and I ride my bike when I get home late at night (but mostly because it's just faster). I feel safe taking the bus at night, but with trains and undergrounds, I am a bit more careful and usually only take them with friends.

Honestly it really depends on where you’re staying in Bonn. I usually wouldn’t recommend to go to Godesberg at the evenings since there seem to be men always lurking around the corner and they just stare at you. Overall I would say Bonn is a safe place to stay but Godesberg is a part of it that I would not like to recommend.
