Is Bochum safe for solo female travelers?

Bochum is really Safe. There is Not much I can say really, I dont feel endangered when I Go out and Even when I went clubbing late at night I felt actually pretty safe. So there is no danger here.

Till now i found it safe enough for me to walk alone even at night haven’t experienced anything bad til now. I haven’t travelled at night alot but it seems safe to walk and people aee friendly. Enough lights are also there in street and good transport system.

I haven't lived here long enough to know for 100% sure about safety. As much as I have experienced here, I have faced no danger per se in any form or manner. So I would say it's pretty safe for solo travellers and citizens in general.

I have been living in Bochum for 2 months now. I have not been sexually harassed yet, but I have been harassed a few times by crazy people who asked for money. Other than that, I have not had any bad experiences. There were homeless people laughing at themselves on the U-Bahn, but I don't think they are harmful to anyone else.

Bochum is a university city, so the city center never sleeps, it's safe to walk around at night, there's always people out. I would avoid the small streets. The HBF (central station) is a bit shady at night, but there are police and security there all the time. Suburbs are very safe but many streets are not well lit. I would avoid walking at night.
